The Port Wine Museum, inaugurated in 2004, is housed in an 18th-century building, built by the Douro family Pinto da Cunha Saavedra for wine storage.
The museum is dedicated to the product that made Oporto and its commerce grow, and part of the soul of the old city. This museum also presents a collection of archeology, faience, ethnography and porcelain, being open to the public for those who want to discover their past since the space is loaded with marks of the passage of years and people.
